Las Vegas-based media company Tech Cocktail raised $2.5m in funding.
Tony Hsieh’s Downtown Project (Hsieh is the CEO of Zappos.com) provided the funds.
The company intends to use the funds to add new people in sales/business development, editorial, design and development to focus on growth initiatives. Over the next year, Tech Cocktail intends to deepen the coverage and resources they currently provide to new startups and startup regions all across the United States and the world.
Led by Frank Gruber and Jen Consalvo, Tech Cocktail is a media company and events organization for startups, entrepreneurs, and technology enthusiasts. It covers news about startups, writes how-to’s and about industry trends online, and hosts events in over 20 cities in the US and abroad.
