Wochit Inc., a New York and Tel Aviv-based provider of a platform for real-time news video, closed a $4.75m Series A venture capital.
Backers included Redpoint Ventures, Cedar Fund and Greycroft Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its sales efforts, including new initiatives such as organizing content by channels about particular subjects, which customers can embed as feeds that are automatically refreshed with new, topical video.
Led by co-founder and CEO Dror Ginzberg, CTO Ran Oz, Wochit leverages technology and production expertise to create news videos that publishers such as web sites, mobile applications, news organizations, blogs and other publishing entities can select and integrate based on which ones match topics of interest for their audiences.
