BrightEdge, a San Mateo, CA-based provider of a content marketing platform, closed a $42.8m in Series D funding.
The round was led by Insight Venture Partners, which joined existing investors Intel Capital, Battery Ventures, Altos Ventures and Illuminate Ventures.
Founded in 2007 by Jim Yu, CEO, BrightEdge provides the S3 platform that leverages big data analytics to allow businesses to understand the value of their content in terms of traffic, engagement and revenue across all digital channels, including search, social and mobile.
Customers include global brands such as 3M, Microsoft, Netflix and Nike.
The company has offices in New York City and London.
