Mirantis, a Mountain View, CA-basedĀ OpenStack systems integrator, raised $10m in the second close of its Series A financing.
Backers included Ericsson, Red Hat, and SAP Ventures, along with existing investor WestSummit Capital.
The company, which had previously raised $10m in December 2012 from Dell Ventures, Intel Capital, and WestSummit Capital (read here), intends to use these funds to further develop Fuel, its tool for management and deployment of OpenStack clouds, and drive integration with technology and products from its partners.
Led by Adrian Ionel, president and CEO, and Roman Alekseenkov, director of Product and Community, Mirantis offers software and services for customers to deploy and run production-grade OpenStack clouds.
The company has just released an update to Fuel, which offers a visual interface as a single control plane for OpenStack clusters and enables automated hardware discovery and network verification. It also supports the latest Grizzly OpenStack release.
