PinkUP Srl, a Milan, Italy-based startup that offers mobile and web solutions dedicated to women’s health, has raised a seed funding.
The amount of the deal and the backer were not disclosed. It is only known that the investor has taken a 14% equity stake in the company.
Co-founded by Sara Mervi and Giovanna Marena, PinkUP is developing a the platform and two apps: Pinkup Ciclo, which aims to help women track their menstrual period and predict trends as well as to examine all the issues related to health and prevention; and PinkUp Gravidanza, which aims to help women face the pregnancy period by following the steps day by day.
The solutions, currently in Beta, will be launched in Autumn 2013 for both iOS and Android.
