VidSys, a Vienna, Virginia-based provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, raised a $15.65m equity financing.
The round was led by NewSpring Capital, with participation from existing investors Atlanta Equity, Flybridge Capital Partners, JVax Investment Group and Motorola Solutions Venture Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Marc R. Lederman, NewSpring General Partner, joined VidSys’ Board of Directors.
Founded in 2005 and led by Michael P. Jackson, chairman and CEO, VidSys provides a PSIM software platform to run operations centers for public sector agencies and leading businesses globally. The platform continuously correlates vast amounts of data gathered from any number or virtually any type, brand or generation of physical security system or sensor, as well as from networked management applications to provide actionable intelligence that allows decision makers from a single organization or multiple entities – however geographically dispersed – to collaborate in real time. It also leverages mobile devices.
The company also has offices in Massachusetts, the United Kingdom, the Middle East and Brazil.
