Yieldbot, a Boston, MA-based developer of a technology that creates marketplaces where advertisers buy realtime consumer intent flowing through publishers, raised a $5m Series A-1 funding round.
The round was led by RRE Ventures, with participation from existing investors New Atlantic Ventures, kbs+ Ventures, Common Angels, Neu Ventures and Board member Cathie Black.
Led by CEO Jonathan Mendez, CTO Rich Shea and Chief Data Scientist Soren Macbeth, Yieldbot is creating a real-time intent marketplace that allows advertisers to improve performance with a new channel of premium keyword inventory and real-time matching of consumer intent and publishers to access to intelligence on visitor site-session intent and a direct connection to search and keyword buying budgets.
The company partners with leading media companies like Meredith, Rodale, Remedy Health, BlogHer, BabyCenter, Internet Brands and others.
