4INFO, a San Mateo, Calif.-based mobile advertising technology platform, raised $8m in funding.
The round was led by Vulcan Capital, with participation from existing investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Gannett, Mezzanine Capital and U.S. Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to add innovative functionality to its platform, hire new people (read here), and advance business development activities.
Launched in 2004 and led by Tim Jenkins, CEO, 4INFO provides the AdHaven Bullseye product platform, wwhich aims to help brands extend their current audience targeting from offline and the traditional Web into mobile. Bullseye allows users to identify and target segments from certified data partners, including Nielsen Catalina Solutions, and Datalogix,– on mobile devices. It also has proprietary mobile consumer demographic and behavioral data.
The company also has offices in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston.
