According to a post on their blog, Cluster, a San Francisco, CA-based developer of a photo sharing app, raised $1.6m in funding.
Backers included Sherpa Foundry, Google Ventures, First Round Capital, Freestyle Capital, and Baseline Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to grow the team (read here) to build the product across platforms beyond iOS.
Co-founded by Brenden Mulligan, CEO, and Taylor Hughes, CTO, Cluster offers an app that allows people to collect each other’s photos from a shared experience. It enables them to choose a group of photos to create an album and tag people to join the album, and contribute to it.
It is currently available for iPhone.
