Custom Cells Itzehoe GmbH, a Itzehoe, Germany-based developer of energy storage systems, received a funding from High-Tech Gründerfonds.
The amount of the funding was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow the business.
Led by co-CEOs Torge Thönnessen and Leopold König, Custom Cells Itzehoe manufactures electrode foils, rechargeable accumulators and battery systems for a multitude of niche applications such as prosthetics, weather stations, satellites, drill head sensors, unmanned underwater vehicles or concept cars, as well as for future battery solutions with innovative materials.
