Purplle, a Mumbai, India-based online beauty and personal care startup, raised its first round of funding of undisclosed amount.
Backers included Mumbai Angels, The Chennai Angels and Blume Ventures.
Founded in 2012 by CEO Manish Taneja and Rahul Dash, the company offers perfumes, cosmetics, deodorants, skin care and hair care products) from over 400 brands (including Davidoff, Hugo Boss, Elizabeth Arden, Victoria’s Secret, Lakme, L’Oreal, and Maybelline.com).
According to TechCircle.in, the company intends to use the funds to increase the number of brands and products, expand its supply chain capacity, warehouses and continue to develop the technology.
