Tastemade Inc., a Santa Monica, CA-based digital media creation and discovery company for food, raised $10m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Raine Ventures, the new venture arm of The Raine Group, with participation from previous investor Redpoint Ventures.
Led by Larry Fitzgibbon, co-founder, Tastemade Based provides a technology platform and community that enable tastemakers to connect, collaborate and create video content in the food and lifestyle category.
Content is available in over a dozen languages across multiple networks and devices including, YouTube, AOL, Yahoo!, Roku, and the newly-launched Tastemade App. Available for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at: www.AppStore.com/Tastemade, it allows consumers to shot, edit and upload HD quality episodes of places and food.
In less than a year, the Tastemade audience has grown to over 12 million unique visitors across 200+ countries.
