Dissolve, a Calgary, Canada-based new stock video marketplace, raised $5m in funding.
Backers included former co-founders of Veer and iStockphoto and iNovia Capital.
Led by Patrick Lor (CEO), Sheldon Popiel (creative director), Jon Parker (brand director) Rupa Sandhu (president), Dissolve aims to create an engaging content licensing community and marketplace with high-quality licensable stock video for filmmakers and digital storytellers. It provides high-quality HD video clips (priced at $5, $50, $150 or $500) on a wide variety of topics for use in professional television and web-based advertising work, corporate promotions and training videos, editorial and documentary settings, interactive web sites, video games and mobile applications.
Dissolve has just been launched in Beta.
