Insightly, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a business freemium customer relationship management (CRM) platform, raised $10m in series B funding.
The round was led by Matt Holleran, founder and managing director of Cloud Apps Management, LLC, with participation from Emergence Capital Partners, Sozo Ventures and TrueBridge Capital Partners. Holleran will serve on the board along with Gordon Ritter, founder and general partner of Emergence Capital Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to expand globally, sign further partnerships and integrations with other business freemium and software-as-a-service (SaaS) application companies and resellers, continue to enhance its web and mobile applications and make new hires.
Led by Anthony Smith, CEO, Insightly provides a cloud-based CRM and project management solution to track customer interactions and manage contacts, proposals, opportunities, projects and files. Available on the web at Insightly.com, for iOS devices in iTunes, and for Android devices on Google Play, the product is used by more than 184,000 small businesses from more than 100 countries. It integrates with Gmail and Outlook 2013.
The company had raised $3m in a series A round led by Emergence Capital Partners (read here).
