OpenExchange, a Boston, MA-based video service for the financial services and investor relations community, completed a $6.0m Series B funding.
Ipreo, a global provider of market intelligence, investor data and workflow solutions to capital markets and corporate professionals, joined existing investor Barclays. In conjunction with the funding, Jennifer Sun, Ipreo’s head of global equity capital markets, will take an observer seat on OpenExchange’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to further expand its client service infrastructure and enhance its product capabilities.
Led by Mark Loehr, CEO, and Doug Ashton, founder and vice president, product development, OpenExchange has created an online community for investor communications. Its interface enables public companies, investment banks and asset managers to find each other, schedule and attend video meetings. The company and Ipreo also expanded their existing partnership to offer OpenExchange solutions to both corporate and capital markets professionals, with integration of video-related capabilities into a number of Ipreo’s platforms to come in 2014.
