Pinnatta, a Sunnyvale, California- and Athens, Greece-based provider of a mobile application that lets users exchange interactive messages with friends, raised $1.5m in funding.
Backers included Greek venture capital firms Odyssey Venture Partners and PJ Tech Catalyst.
Led by George Spanoudakis, CEO, Pinnatta allows users to communicate by exchanging messages their friends can interact with.
Users can browse among free ready-made “Pinnatta messages”, select the one that matches a current need (wishes and invitations, mementos, mini-games, virtual goods, coupons and offers, collectible items, geo-located objects, augmented reality items, etc.) personalize it the way they like by adding text, photos, audio or video and send it!
Pinnatta is currently available for iPhone and Android.
The company has now raised $2.2m with previous investors being i-FREE, Cherubic Ventures, and private investors (Andrew Wright, Stamos Venios and Tasso Argyros).
Their web site lists 12 people as part of the team.
