Unsilo, a Aurhus, Denmark-based semantic search engine that aims to facilitate access to scientific research, received funding from Scale Capital.
The funding, whose amount was not disclosed, will enables the company to launch its platform in November 2013.
Co-founded by Mads Rydahl, Unsilo provides researchers and R&D professionals with a patent pending semantic search engine to find documents from different industries and scientific fields, presented under a handful of headlines. Each headline represents a context based cluster providing a quick overview of the main trends by “similarity in approach”, rather than by scientific discipline.
With the “MyBrain” feature, users can add articles they authored, patents their clients own, or other documents they have a specific interest in. Notifications are then displayed when searches of other users hit those specific documents.
