Gainspeed, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based provider of a platform for cable networks, raised a Series B funding of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by Juniper Networks (NYSE:JNPR).
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and continue to develop its cable platform.
Led by Drew Perkins, CEO, Gainspeed provides an architecture (Virtual CCAP) that centralizes control in the data center and distributes processing to the edge of the network, enabling cable operators to meet increasing capacity requirements and quickly deploy new new residential and commercial services while migrating their networks.
