Musement, a Milan, Italy-based online platform for museums, monuments, art events, activities and tours, raised $950k in funding.
Backers included 360 Capital Partners, IAG (Italian Angels for Growth) and other new investors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand into new markets.
Led by CEO Alessandro Petazzi, Claudio Bellinzona, Paolo Giulini and Fabio Zecchiniand launched in public beta in April 2013, Musement aggregates in a unified digital hub information, suggestions, booking for tickets, guided tours and audioguides for top museums, art exhibitions, heritage and archaeological sites around the world.
The service currently features a portfolio of venues and events in the main Italian cities. In the next few months, they will start offering information, tickets, tours and activities about other EU countries. A mobile app is expected as well.
