OKpanda, a New York-based language learning game service, raised $1.4m in seed funding.
The round was led by Resolute Ventures with participation from 500 Startups, Kapor Capital, Innovation Endeavors, and other angel investors including Lee Linden, Max Burger, Ilan Abehassera and Mafia Wars co-founder Roger Dickey.
Founded by Adam Gries, OKpanda uses social and gaming backgrounds to develop digital products for learning English with a focus on the Asian market, beginning with Japan.
