Sefaira, a London and New York-based provider of cloud energy efficiency software for architects, raised $9.2m in funding.
Backers included existing investors Braemar Energy Ventures, Chrysalix SET and Hermes GPE, which invested $7.2m in venture capital, and Silicon Valley Bank, which provided a $2m venture debt facility.
The company intends to use the funds for product development.
Founded in 2009 and led by CEO Mads Jensen, Sefaira provides cloud-based energy efficiency software for architects and other building designers to analyze and compare multiple building strategies including defining, quantifying, and optimizing the energy, water, carbon and financial benefits of relevant strategies.
The company, which currently serves more than 200 customers, named Philip Crawford (former senior vice president of Oracle Corporation and president of EDS International) as chairman of the board.
