StarMobile, Inc., an Atlanta, Georgia-based provider of a cloud enterprise mobility solution, closed $2.5m seed funding.
The round was led by U.S. Venture Partners (USVP), with participation from GRA Venture Fund and Atlanta Technology Angels (ATA). In conjunction with the funding, USVP Partner Dafina Toncheva joined StarMobile’s board.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its engineering and sales teams and increase market awareness as it emerges from stealth mode.
Founded in 2012 and led by President and Chief Executive Officer Todd Fryburger and Chief Technology Officer Dr. Raghupathy Sivakumar, StarMobile provides Global 2000 companies with a cloud-based solution that allows them to dynamically transform packaged on-premise or cloud-based applications or custom-built systems into a mobile application.
