BBOXX, a London, UK-based provider of solar power solutions for the developing world, raised $1.9m in funding.
Backers included Khosla Impact ($1.5m) and Synergy Growth ($400k).
The company intends to use the funds to invest in its entire supply chain – including design, manufacturing, distribution and customer financing.
Founded in 2010 and led by Mansoor Hamayun, CEO, BBOXX designs, manufactures and distributes solar powered battery packs to markets across the developing world, with networks in Kenya, RD Congo, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Sudan, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Comoros, Zambia, Somalia and Pakistan.
