ContaAzul, a Joinville, Brazil-based provider of SaaS accounting and invoicing solutions to SMBs, raised a Series B round of financing.
The round was led by Ribbit Capital, with participation from Valar Ventures and existing investors Monashees Capital and Napkn Ventures.
The company plans to use the new capital to accelerate the growth of its platform, including the development of an ecosystem of partners whose solutions will be integrated into ContaAzul products, as well as to continue to expand its team, with particular focus on the engineering and product groups.
Founded in 2011 by entrepreneurs CEO Vinícius Roveda, João Zaratine and José Carlos Sardagna, ContaAzul provides small business owners with a cloud-based accounting platform to track transactions, manage sales and inventory and create reports on financial performance.
It also features direct integration with government services and bank portals, which allows business owners to create and issue government-standardized invoices.
