Klappo, a London, UK-based search platform for ingredients, raised $650k in seed funding.
According to the CrunchBase page of the company, backers included H-Farm Ventures, Benedetta Spinola and Oneiros Investments.
The company intends to use the funds to develop the platform and sign strategic partnerships to add data an finalize the product.
Co-founded by Italians Massimiliano Del Vita, CEO, Enrico Fiorentin, and Attilio Speciani, Klappo is a semantic-based search platform that uses natural language processing techniques for ingredients to collect, read, process and analyze the composition of packaged products and recipes. Data is made available through an open API to any third party developers who want to empower their systems with detailed information.
