Mustbin, a Boston, MA-based provider of an app for organizing, storing and sharing personal information, raised $4.5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by DAG Ventures with participation from General Catalyst Partners, Mohr Davidow Ventures, Northgate Capital, Hubspot co-founder Dharmesh Shah, Jonathan Kraft and angel investors.
Founded by Brian Shin and Satyender Mahajan, Mustbin has just launched a mobile app for capturing, organizing, and sharing personal information and moments (with family, friends or advisors). It is available for free in the Apple App Store.
Users can choose from pre-built bin types (including Wallet, Accounts and Passwords, Home, Vehicle, Finance, etc.), which include Guides that drive users through specific information to capture and add to the bin using the phone’s camera. All bins are stored in the cloud and synchronized across devices when shared with other people.
The company is hiring.
