PasswordBox, a San Francisco, CA- and Montréal, Canada-based provider of a free password manager, acquired Legacy Locker, a digital legacy solution.
The transaction – whose amount was not disclosed – followed the recent announcement that PasswordBox has raised $6m in a round was led by OMERS Ventures (read here).
Led by Dan Robichaud, CEO, PasswordBox is a free password manager that helps people store, retrieve, create and share passwords on any device. The mobile app includes log-in capabilities to access websites and apps without having to memorize or enter passwords.
Led by San Francisco, CA, Legacy Locker provides a solution to pass online accounts to people users decide (friends and family members). It was founded in 2008 by Jeremy Toeman and Adam Burg.
