TapCommerce, a New York City-based provider of mobile retargeting platform, closed $10.5m Series A funding.
The round was led by Bain Capital Ventures and RRE Ventures with participation from Nielsen Ventures and existing backers Metamorphic Ventures, Eniac Ventures and Nextview Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Bain Capital’s Scott Friend and RRE Ventures’ Eric Wiesen joined TapCommerce’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its product development cycle, and expand its sales and marketing efforts.
Founded in 2012 and led by Brian Long, CEO, TapCommerce provides a platform designed to bring qualified traffic to properties by retargeting users across mobile webites, tablet websites, and mobile apps on android, iphone or ipad.
It has over 50 customers, including mobile ecommerce brands like Fab and JackThreads.
