Written.com, an Austin, TX-based audience development platform for content marketing, raised $1m in seed funding.
The round was led by LiveOak Venture Partners and Floodgate, with participation from a number of angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand business development efforts and further build their blogger network of proven high-engagement content.
Led by Josh Kerr, CEO, Written.com allows companies and brands to engage with their audiences by licensing top-performing content from bloggers. The company works with brands to identify and analyze their desired audience, and then curates existing online content with the same audience and licenses it for use in the brand’s owned media channels. Brands can choose different options including content licensing, content syndication, and sponsored content.
