NSS Labs, Inc., an Austin, Texas-based an information security research and advisory company, raised a Series A funding from LiveOak Venture Partners.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed. In conjunction with the funding, Venu Shamapant, General Partner of LiveOak Venture Partners, joined NSS’ Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds for expansion and continued technology innovation, to further scale operations and support its customer base.
Led by Vikram Phatak, Chairman and CEO, Cathy Main, VP of Marketing, Carma Beedle, VP of Sales, and Jennifer Parker, CFO, NSS Labs is both an analyst firm specializing in security technologies and a testing laboratory. They provide clients (CIOs, CISOs, and information security professionals from large enterprises) with analyst calls, access to NSS analyst research, test reports and toolkits, Threat Modeling of “What If” scenarios, and Threat Intelligence Feeds.
