DNAnexus, a Mountain View, CA-based provider of cloud-based solutions for large-scale DNA data management and analysis, closed a $15m Series C funding.
Backers included Claremont Creek Ventures, Google Ventures, TPG Biotech, and First Round Capital.
Led by Richard Daly, CEO, DNAnexus provides a a compliant cloud platform for managing data, collaborating with other scientists, sharing tools, and accessing diverse reference datasets, including genotypic and phenotypic data. Recently, the company announced projects with Stanford University and Baylor College of Medicine. Through these, DNAnexus processed over 17,000 genomes and generated more than 500 terabytes of genomic data.
