Fitbay.com, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based a community for social shopping, raised $400k in funding.
Backers included Jesper Buch (Founder of Just-Eat and investor in Miinto, etc.) and Creandum.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations.
Led by Christian Wylonis, Founder & CEO, Fitbay connects people of similar body shapes into virtual networks based on their height, weight, and body types. It allows users to conduct personalized search based on their body type, discover new brands in their size and fit, and do social shopping with their body doubles.
The platform is currently in closed beta.
Co-Founders of the company are Andreas Jarbol, Philip Wylonis, Michael Wolthers Nielsen, and Troels Reese Christensen.
