PR Slides, a Dublin, Ireland-based online media company, raised €500k in funding.
Backers included Enterprise Ireland and Kernel Capital, Niall Harbison, Eamon Leonard, Johnny Walker and Julian Kulkarni.
The company intends to use the funds to grow sales and employ new people to expand the service into a global platform. Twenty new positions are in the pipeline for 2014 as well as plans to open offices internationally as the service moves into new markets.
Led by Irish model Emma Jane Power and social media entrepreneur Niall Harbison, PRSlides offers a PR tool for brands and makes it easier for journalists to view their latest products and press releases, and share them.
Over 800 images from PR Slides are currently being used in press each month resulting in thousands of euro worth of press coverage for clients including Philips, Harvey Norman and Littlewoods Ireland as well as PR agencies themselves.
