XG Sciences, Inc., a Lansing, MI-based manufacturer of energy storage materials, closed on a strategic investment led by Samsung Ventures Investment Corporation (Samsung Ventures).
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the proceeds for additional research and development of its advanced materials.

In addition to electrode materials, the company makes thermal management materials, and electrically and thermally conductive inks, coatings and adhesives based on its graphene nanoplatelets.
