Coinsetter, a NYC-based Bitcoin trading platform, raised $510k in new funding.
According to a regulatory filing (read here), 13 unnamed investors participated in the round, which the company plans to close at $1.5m.
This funding adds to a $500k round raised in April 2013 (read here).
Led by Jaron Lukasiewicz, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Marshall Swatt, Chief Technology Officer, and Yo Sub Kwon, Security Technology Advisor and Co-Founder, Coinsetter is developing a platform for Bitcoin trades which will soon allow institutional-level holders and individuals to earn interest on their bitcoins.
