Datadog, a New York, NY-based provider of a SaaS monitoring and data analytics platform, raised $15m in Series B funding.
The round was led by OpenView Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Index Ventures, RTP Ventures, Amplify Partners, IA Ventures and Contour Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Dev Ittycheria, OpenView’s Managing Director and former Founder and CEO of BladeLogic, will join Datadog’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the development of its platform, grow its engineering division and expand its sales and marketing teams in New York and Boston.
Led by Olivier Pomel, co-founder and CEO, Datadog provides a monitoring platform for brings together data from servers, databases, applications, tools and services to present a unified view of the cloud infrastructure. A SaaS-based data analytics solution enables Dev and Ops teams to work collaboratively on the infrastructure to avoid downtime, resolve performance problems and ensure that development and deployment cycles finish on time.
In 2013, the company expanded its compatibility beyond Amazon Web Services (AWS) with the release of HP Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Red Hat OpenShift, and OpenStack integrations.
