Dónde, a Cincinnati, OH-based location as a service platform, closed a $1m funding.
The round was led by Mercury Fund, with participation from Chicago Ventures, Full Stack, Vine Street Ventures and Tim Kopp. In conjunction with the investment, Blair Garrou, managing director of Mercury Fund and Dave Knox, CMO of WPP-owned Rockfish, will join Dónde’s Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds for product development and expansion of industry partnerships.
Co-founded by CEO Anthony Nicalo and Fabien Allanic in June 2013, Dónde is a store locator service that brands can use to convert mobile visitors to retail sales. Through contextual tools, including ads, coupons and offers, it provides mobile users with the needed information to complete a purchase. The software integrates into a brand’s existing web, social and mobile marketing presence.
Current customers include SkinnyPop Popcorn, LasikPlus and Louisville Slugger.
