MD Revolution, a San Diego, CA-based digital health startup, raised $7m in Series B funding.
Backers included unnamed individual investors. In conjunction with the funding, Jean Balgrosky, co-founder of Bootstrap Incubation and Andy Sassine, former portfolio manager for Fidelity Investments, joined MD Revolution’s board of directors.
Led by CEO by Dr. Samir Damani, MD Revolution provides a digital health solution, RevUp! Health Accelerated, which enables individuals (employees and consumers) to track their health, fitness and nutrition data and then gives the tools and medically supervised coaching to help individuals improve habits and live productive lives.
Its patent-pending predictive intelligence engine helps users improve their health screening results, body composition, metabolism and cardiovascular fitness with the help of mobile devices and apps. Each of them receives a customized program based on individual goals, risk factors and preferences.
The company has 38 employees.
