pillpackPillPack, a Manchester, New Hampshire-based pharmacy that simplifies medication management, raised $4m in funding.

Backers included Atlas Venture, Founder Collective, IDEO, TechStars, Zen Chu, Sridhar Iyengar, Lucy McQuilken, Andy Palmer, David Tisch, and Walter Winshall. As part of the financing, Fred Destin, a partner with Atlas Venture, and David Frankel, a partner with Founder Collective, joined PillPack’s board.

Led by TJ Parker, PharmD, CEO, PillPack is a full service pharmacy that aims to simplify medication management through convenient packaging, modern technology, and personalized service. The company is initially focused on people who take more than five medications every day.
They receive prescriptions, over-the-counter medications and vitamins in a two-week roll of individual packs organized by date and time.
The company has launched in 31 states, with additional states expected throughout 2014.
