Saisei, a Sunnyvale, CA-based developer of virtual network appliances, closed a $5.6m Series A round of funding.
The round was led by Oxygen Ventures with participation from unnamed early seed investors. In conjunction with the funding, Larry Kestelman, Founder and Director of Oxygen Ventures, will join Saisei’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product development and the launch of its solutions in North America and Asia Pacific.
Led by Bill Beckett, Founder and CEO, Saisei develops virtual network appliances that incorporate flow technologies for complete visibility and control of applications, users, locations and quality of experience on IP Networks.
Based on an SDN-ready REST API, its software-based solution operates on standard compute devices and is integrated into legacy or next generation networks.
