Vungle, a San Francisco, CA-based mobile video ad platform, secured $17m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Thomvest Ventures with participation from existing investors Crosslink Capital, Google Ventures, AOL Ventures, SoftTech VC and Webb Investment Network.
The company intends to use the funds to build a suite of monetization tools for mobile app developers, starting with an in-app mobile video ad exchange (Vungle Exchange).
Led by CEO Zain Jaffer, Vungle plans to launch other monetization products for developers over the next year.
The company, which also has offices in London and is opening in Berlin and in Asia, had already raised $6.5m in Series A funding (read here).
