Analytics Engines, a Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK-based specialist in accelerating applications for databases and Big Data, raised over £1m in funding.
The round was led by venture capital fund Crescent Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate productization and exploitation of IP, diversify current offerings into new sectors, support product development and expand its global presence.
Spun out of the ECIT Institute at Queen’s University Belfast in 2008 and led by Dr Stephen McKeown, CEO, and Professor Roger Woods, CTO, Analytics Engines provides customers with a suite of accelerators to process business and application data to improve performance and enhance the speed and efficiency of software applications in the finance, genomics, utilities and database sectors.
