Augmedix, a San Francisco, CA-based, Google Glass-powered healthcare startup, raised a venture funding round of undisclosed amount.
Backers included DCM and Emergence Capital Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to expand the team and ramp up its efforts to reach outpatient doctors across the nation.
Founded by CEO Ian Shakil and Chief Product Officer Pelu Tran, Augmedix is developing a service – powered by Google Glass – that allows physicians to spend less hours on computers entering or retrieving data from electronic health records and refocus on patient care.
The company, which is generating revenue working with a select number of national health systems, has 36 employees.
Previous backers of Augmedix included Rock Health (a San Francisco-based digital health seed fund) and Upstart (a funding/networking and mentoring platform).
