Bridge U.S., an San Francisco, CA-based immigration startup, raised a $800 in seed funding.
Backers included 500 Startups, Ulu Ventures, Mike Levinthal, Paul English, Dave Baggett, Munjal Shah and a range of immigration law experts, civic leaders, and serial entrepreneurs.
Founded by CEO Romish Badani and CTO Forrest Blount, Bridge U.S. provides a technology platform that aims to enable individuals and businesses to instantly discover their immigration options, accurately complete their applications, and manage their status over time.
Its interface helps users understand which – out of the hundreds of potential paths through the U.S. immigration system – are available, based on each the user’s unique circumstances.
Depending on these results, a range of services are available to help users complete their applications, including guided do-it-yourself tools and affordable legal representation offered by professional immigration lawyers.
The company launches on April 1st 2014.
