ClassDojo Raises $8.5M in Series A Funding

classdojoAccording to Re/code, ClassDojo, a San Francisco, California-based provider of tools that help teachers improve behavior in their classrooms, raised $8.5m in Series A funding.

Backers included Shasta Ventures, General Catalyst, SoftTech VC, Yuri Milner, Paul Graham and SV Angel.

Led by CEO Sam Chaudhary, ClassDojo provides a platform for teachers to improve behavior in their classrooms and to capture and generate data on behavior to share with parents and administrators.
Features include tools to award feedback points for behavior in class in real-time and instant notifications for students.

The company is hiring engineers.
