Knowledge Delivery Systems Closes $6M Funding

kdsKnowledge Delivery Systems, a New York City-based provider of professional development solutions for K-12 educators, closed $6m in funding.

The round was led by Edison Ventures alongside existing investors. In conjunction with the funding, Sever Totia, Edison Principal, will join KDS’ Board of Directors, along with Brian Madocks, Edison Director Network member.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate sales and marketing, expand the management team, increase product development and build out its digital content offering.

Led by Alvin Crawford, CEO, Knowledge Delivery Systems provides online strategic professional development, state certification, master’s degree programs, and career advancement for teachers and administrators in the K-12 market at every stage of their career.
Its online platform features content, coaching and services.
Clients include large school districts in the United States such as Chicago IL, Philadelphia PA, Indianapolis IN, Austin TX and State of New Mexico.
