Tipbit, a Bellevue WA-based provider of a mobile email and productivity app, closed a $4m Series A funding.
The round was led by Ignition Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop its platform.
Led by Gordon Mangione, founder and CEO, Tipbit provides an app to improve the mobile email and productivity experience through contextual search as well as integration with cloud services such as Evernote, Dropbox, Salesforce and others.
The version 2.0 of the app instantly surfaces rich information on any email sender’s contact information, including LinkedIn profile, recent Tweets, blog posts and other publicly available data, presented by tapping on the sender name.
Tipbit supports a broad range of email services including support for ActiveSync for Exchange and IMAP services such as Gmail and Yahoo, and is available for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch (http://www.AppStore.com/Tipbit).
