TouchBistro, a Toronto, Canada-based provider of mobile point-of-sale (POS) solutions for the food and beverage industry, closed a $1.5m second tranche of its recently announced seed funding round (read here).
Backers included Walden Venture Capital and Kensington Capital Partners.
The funds will help the company establish a local presence in key markets, and double its customer base in the next 12 months as well as to invest in new technology and talent acquisition.
Led by Alex Barrotti, CEO, TouchBistro provides a mobile point-of-sale (POS) app for full service restaurants, quick service restaurants, food trucks, coffee shops and other food and drink venues to take tableside customer orders, and instantly submit them to the kitchen and bar.
The company also has offices in New York.
