Backers included William Morris Endeavor; Great Oaks Ventures; Structure VC; WSGR; and Manatt Digital Media Ventures and single investors Liz Schimel; Olivier Gers; Alain Mutricy; Jason George, Drew Larner; Xerces Mullan; Andy Volanakis; Wolfgang Allisat; Michael Sharon; Nicklas Jonnson; Prashant Bhatia; and Ted Mico.

The company intends to use the funds to improve the product with new features (for connected TV and gaming console platforms), as well as to expand internationally.

Led by Jon Vlassopulos, CEO and founder, Trailerpop is a global, mobile community of entertainment fans. Available for iOS and Android devices, the app allows users to discover entertainment. It delivers curated channels of more than 20,000 high definition film trailers with added trivia, friendly competition and rewards.
The current version integrates with all major movie rental, streaming, purchasing and ticketing partners like Fandango, Netflix, Hulu, Google Play, iTunes and Amazon.
