Betterment Receives $32M in Funding

bettermentBetterment, a New York-based provider of an investing platform, received $32m in funding.

Backers included new investors Citi Ventures, Globespan Capital Partners and Northwestern Mutual Capital and previous investors Bessemer Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures and Anthemis Group.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and develop its products.

Led by Jon Stein, Founder and CEO, Betterment provides a technology-enabled platform that delivers asset allocation, tax optimization, and smart rebalancing services.
Launched in 2010, the company has over 30,000 customers.
